More About Our Services

From a burst pipe at 2 a.m. to a kitchen fire that leaves smoke embedded in every surface of the house, property damage rarely fits a convenient schedule or a simple category. TDI® USA handles the full arc of loss — emergency mitigation, structural drying, mold remediation, and complete reconstruction — for homeowners, commercial property owners, landlords, and property managers throughout the Sacramento region. One company, every phase.

Emergency restoration services

When water is still moving, smoke residue is still bonding to surfaces, or a storm has left a structure exposed to the elements, the clock matters. TDI® USA responds around the clock to water damage and flooding, fire and smoke damage, biohazard and trauma scene cleanup, and storm damage including wind, hail, and debris impact. Water intrusion begins degrading drywall and framing within hours and can create conditions for mold colonization within days; fire smoke leaves acidic residue that etches glass and corrodes metal the longer it sits. Each of these services is handled by technicians certified through the IICRC — in water damage restoration, structural drying, fire and smoke restoration, and applied microbial remediation — so the mitigation work meets the standards your insurance carrier and any future inspector will expect.

Reconstruction and renovation

Mitigation stops the damage. Reconstruction puts the property back. After drying equipment comes out and affected materials are removed, TDI® USA’s reconstruction team steps in to rebuild — framing, drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinetry, painting, and finish work. Because the same company that documented the damage is managing the rebuild, there are no handoff gaps, no disputes between a mitigation contractor and a separate GC about what was removed and what needs to go back. This matters especially on larger losses where scope changes mid-project and someone needs to own the whole picture.

Specialty services

Not every call is an emergency, and not every problem is visible. TDI® USA also provides mold inspection and remediation for properties with suspected growth — whether that’s a musty odor that won’t clear after a past leak, discoloration behind a wall, or a pre-sale inspection flag. Additional specialty services include professional odor removal, board-up and tarping for properties that need immediate weather or security protection after a loss, and OSHA-trained biohazard cleanup for situations that require both technical precision and discretion.

The most stressful part of a major property loss is often the uncertainty — not knowing whether you need one contractor or four, whether your insurance will cover reconstruction, or whether the company you called for water extraction will still be involved when it’s time to rebuild. TDI® USA is structured so that mitigation and reconstruction move through a single project file, a single point of contact, and a single invoice process. If you’re not sure which service applies to your situation, call and describe what you’re seeing — the team can help you figure out where to start.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with both residential and commercial properties?
Yes. TDI® USA responds to single-family homes, condos, apartment complexes, office buildings, retail spaces, and other commercial properties. The scope and logistics differ — a multi-tenant building has coordination requirements a single-family home doesn't — but the certifications, equipment, and documentation process are consistent across both.
What's the difference between mitigation and reconstruction?
Mitigation is everything done to stop ongoing damage and stabilize the property: extracting water, drying structural materials, removing unsalvageable drywall or flooring, boarding up openings, or containing a mold-affected area. Reconstruction is the rebuild phase that follows — replacing what was removed and restoring the property to its pre-loss condition. Some contractors only handle one or the other; TDI® USA manages both under the same project.
Does TDI® USA handle insurance claims for all of these services?
Yes. TDI® USA works with insurance carriers across all service lines — water, fire, mold, biohazard, storm, and reconstruction. The team documents the loss with photos, moisture readings, and scope reports in the format adjusters require, and can bill carriers directly on covered claims. If you're unsure whether your policy covers a specific type of loss, the team can walk you through what documentation to gather before the adjuster's visit.
